Newcastle United have had a loan-to-buy bid for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Matheus Nunes rejected, according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, while West Ham lead the race for Jesse Lingard after the arrival of Atalanta teenager Amad Diallo made Lingard’s exit inevitable. West Ham hope to sign Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard on loan, according to the Evening Standard.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is now reportedly willing to let the 28-year-old leave having been reluctant sanction a loan move.
Sky Sports claim that West Ham have made an approach, but they currently have the maximum number of on-loan players in their squad.

DZEKO COULD MAKE PREMIER LEAGUE RETURN
Former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko could be on his way back to the Premier League, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 34-year-old is expected to leave Roma after reports of a falling out with manager Paulo Fonseca.
